Preschool Informational Fair Parents as Teachers on Feb 10

Families can pick up a free 2014 Parents as Teachers preschool directory with information on identifying good preschools and preparing for kindergarten.

Directors from more than 25 Shawnee County preschools will also attend to talk about their schools and answer questions.

Sponsors:  Washburn University education department; Parents as Teachers programs at Auburn-Washburn USD 437, Seaman USD 345, Shawnee Heights USD 450 and Topeka USD 501.

Parents as Teachers is a free program for expectant parents and children up to age three. The program offers personalized home visits with certified parent educators, child development screenings, weekly play groups and other activities and services.
