Bonnie Harvey and Michael Houlihan, founders of Barefoot Spirit Wine, will speak about their success and their book “The Barefoot Spirit: How Hardship, Hustle and Heart Built America’s #1 Wine Brand,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1 in the Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center, Washburn University. This event is free and open to the public. The book will be on sale at the event for $10.
Harvey and Houlihan started their business in their laundry room in 1986 and went on to create a nationwide best-selling wine label. With virtually no money and no wine industry experience, they employed innovative ideas to overcome obstacles and create new markets. Now they share their experience and innovative approach to business as consultants, authors, speakers and workshop leaders.
Campus Activities Board is sponsoring the event.
