Washburn University students initiated into Mortar Board honor society

Forty-five students were inducted recently into the Ichabod Chapter of the National Senior Honor Society of Mortar Board at Washburn University. 

Mortar Board, Inc. is a national honor society which recognizes college seniors for distinguished ability and achievement in scholarship, leadership and service. Founded in 1918 as the first national organization honoring senior college women, the Society opened its membership to men in 1975. Since 1918, more than 240,000 college students have been initiated into Mortar Board.
