Topeka High School students to celebrate Shakespeare's 450th birthday at Washburn

More than 40 Topeka High School students will participate in the celebration of Shakespeare’s 450th birthday by joining a Washburn University English class, taught by Ben Beier, assistant professor, English, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 in room 220, Petro Allied Health Center.

The celebration will include cake and a discussion about a performance of the Tempest, which the students will view earlier in the day.

The visiting Topeka High School students are enrolled in an English class as part of Washburn’s Concurrent Enrollment Partnership program, which allows high school students to earn college credit while attending class at their high school.
