Academic career began at Washburn University in 1989 after working 10 years in the Emergency Department of Lawrence Memorial Hospital.   As faculty, taught medical-surgical nursing, health assessment and leadership the past years.

Current do-director of grant, The Transatlantic Dual Degree Program (TADD).   Funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Post-secondary Education (FIPSE) to develop a dual undergraduate nursing degree program between Washburn University and European university partners.
