Scholarly Interests/Activities
Research interests encompass the study of Eastern European media and the social impact of new communication technologies. 
Service Interests/Activities
Has been involved in USAID projects on empowerment of women. Serves as the Chair of the Board of Student Media at Washburn. 
Career Accomplishments

Has received professional development grants from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters, the National Association of Television Program Executives and the American Press Institute. 

Her research has been published in the International Journal of Communication and the Howard Journal of Communications.
