- Mark earned two degrees from Washburn University after graduating from Wamego High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in physical education and a master's degree in educational administration (PreK-12). Mark also has a Specialist Degree from Emporia State University in district level admnistration and curriculum.
- Career Accomplishments
Mark is a Northeast Kansas Educator. He started his teaching career in Valley Falls and moved to the Seaman School District before establishing a long career as a building administrator in USD 336 Holton.
Mark has received numerous local and state awards. He also achieved the highest national honor for his work in school improvement receiving the AdvancED (formally North Central Association) and at the time was only the third Kansan in the 100 year history of the award.
