The Campus Resource Officer is an integral part of the Washburn University Police Department. The CRO’s function is the same as a school resource officer and a community police officer. The responsibilities of the CRO include:
• Acting as liaison between the
students, faculty, staff and visitors and WUPD
• Responsible for education on a variety of subjects related to crime and
safety
• Developing programs for community and campus awareness of crime and
crime prevention
• Patrol activities
• Act as liaison between WUPD and other emergency response agencies
• Operation Identification
