Roy
Bird, Adjunct Professor of English, is employed full time as
FederalProjects Coordinator and Consultant for the Kansas State Library. He has a book review column called "Kansas Books" in the State Library's newsletter, Kansas Libraries. He has co-authored one book, collaborated on three others, and published ten books of his own, plus over 250 articles and reviews inscholarly journals and magazines, mostly on Topeka, Kansas and Western history and biography. Among his books is Washburn Through the Years, a history of Washburn University. He is in much demand as a speaker across Kansas. He teachs freshman composition, now with a Kansas emphasis using books published by the Washburn Center for Kansas Studies.
