About Us: Fellows Biography

Executive Producer and Manager of production services for KTWUDave Kendall
A native of Morris County, Kansas, where he grew up on his family's farm along Clark's Creek, Dave Kendall serves as executive producer and manager of production services for KTWU — the public television station licensed to Washburn University.  He is the co-host of “Sunflower Journeys,” a popular television series about Kansas history, heritage and culture.

Dave received a B.A. in cultural geography from the University of Kansas in 1975 and an M.A. in Media Anthropology from KU in 1983. In addition to his work on “Sunflower Journeys,”which he helped originate in 1987, Dave has produced several documentaries about Kansas and the Midwest, including: Tomorrow's Harvest; Goat Gland Doctor; Winfield: Picker's
; Dateline: Herington; Evolution, Education and Ecology; and
Black/White & Brown: Brown versus the Board of Education of Topeka.
