Recent acquisions and donations since July 2008:

The Mulvane Art Museum purchased one work of art.

A color woodcut print titled Saturday Nite at Chope’s was purchased from Anthony Lazorko, Mesilla, NM.

Donations accepted since July 2008:

One hand formed clay water jar with fiber, by anonymous Indian artisan from Paraguay was donated by Michael Oliver.

13 photographs by various contemporary artists were donated by The Society for Contemporary Photography, Kansas City. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art distributed the photographs on behalf of the Society.

489 Paintings, drawings and prints by artist William L. Haney were donated to the Mulvane by his widow, Beverly Haverstock. Six boxes of documents and a number of metal etching plates were also donated.
                                                               
One painted canvas with latex caulk titled Venice, was donated by the artist, Paul Russo.

One color woodcut titled Athletes by E. Tomasch was donated by William Ansley.

One color photograph titled Sunrise in the Fog II by Trudy Waterman was donated by Trella and T.C. Anderson.

One untitled color woodcut and one untitled etching by Greg Inkmann, and one drawing by Andrew Svedlow were donated by Greg Inkmann.

Florence Marks donated one abstract acrylic painting by Roe Halper, three abstract/geometric painting by Sonny Zoback, and one wool weaving by an unknown artist.

One oil painting on canvas titled Transfiguration of Jesus with Three Disciples by George Stone was donated by Cameron Dibble, Derek Dibble, and Dia Dibble.

One original carved pipestone Tulip Pipe #112 by Jimmie R. Pennington, and a Minnie Adkins book was donated by Robert L. Burns.
                                               

We are pleased to accept a large number of donations so far in 2009.

One untitled ink drawing of a horse by artist Albert T. Reid was donated by Arden R. Cowherd.

One Van Dyke print by artist Daniel W. Coburn titled The Ascent was chosen for the Charles & Margaret Pollak Award

One woodcut titled North Topeka Escape, by the Topeka Branch National League of American Pen Women award winner, Shannon Berry, was donated to the collection.

One oil painting titled Orange and Red Landscape by Thomas McPeak was donated by the artist.

One oil painting titled The Last Iris by Edmund Frakes was donated by the artist.                                            

21 color photographs of China and the Chinese people from the mid 1940’s by photographer William L. Dibble were donated by Mary L. Dibble and the William L. Dibble family.

One stoneware piece titled Gray Marker 2 by artist Larry Peters was donated by the artist.

One emulsion, oil and oxide pigment painting titled The Pure was donated by the artist, Roger Weik.

One untitled mixed media painting by Rita & Steve Lohr and one untitled raku vessel by Jerry Neal were purchased from the Mulvane Art Museum’s Mountain/Plains Art Fair and donated by the Friends of the Mulvane Art Museum, Inc. Women’s Board.

One acrylic painting titled At Home on the Range by Shirley Akers and one acrylic painting titled Riverside by Linda Humphries was purchased by the Museum.

Five prints and one painting by artists William Bailey, Dan Christensen, and Alan Shields were donated by AT&T. Inc.

One serigraph/monoprint titled Farmland Flight by Justin Marable was purchased by the Museum
