General Education Courses

Related requirements common to all Bachelor Degrees are:

  • Six hours of English composition including three hours at the lower division and three hours at the upper division (EN 101, EN 300). Students who do not satisfactorily pass the EN 300 placement exam must take EN 200 and receive a grade of C or better. Candidates for the degree must earn at least a C (or equivalent) in both Freshman and Advanced Composition.
  • Three hours of Mathematics is required. Students must complete MA 110 or MA 116 with a grade of C or better or a course with MA 110 or MA 116 as a prerequisite with a grade of C or better.
  • Two hours of physical education, PE 198 Lifetime Wellness, are required.

Related requirements common to all Associate Degrees are:

  • Three hours of English composition (EN 101) are required. Candidates for the degree must earn at least a C (or equivalent) in Freshman Composition.
  • Three hours of Mathematics is required. Students must complete MA 110 or MA 116 with a grade of C or better or a course with MA 110 or MA 116 as a prerequisite with a grade of C or better.
  • Two hours of physical education, PE 198 Lifetime Wellness, are required.
