The Banking Program offers students an Associate of Applied Science degree. The courses and program are offered in cooperation with the Topeka Chapter of the American Institute of Banking (AIB). The degree provides a core of general banking courses plus related courses in accounting, economics, and related areas.

American Institute of Banking (AIB), through its cooperation with Washburn, is able to offer the latest industry view of the technical principles of bank operations. The core courses in our program use curriculum developed by the national offices of AIB and approved for instruction here at Washburn. Students take these approved AIB courses for college credit, as well as electing to receive national "AIB credit". Interested students should contact an AIB representative at a local bank or the School of Applied Studies, Dean's Office at 670-1282.
