The office administrator or office manager is a professional who has specific training in and knowledge of information processing systems and procedures. With the rapidly changing office environment, the demand is great for highly skilled office specialists. The demand for office workers is predicted to remain strong for position titles of administrative assistant, executive assistant, office manager, records manager, and a broad range of job-specific titles including such terms as "coordinator" and "specialist."

Office Administration requires knowledge and skill in the operation of modern equipment using a variety of current software programs. Information and word processing, transcribing, writing, and decision-making skills are emphasized in the curriculum.
