• Corporations, LLCs and other business entities and structures
• Licensing requirements
• Tax registration and structure
• Independent contractors vs. employees
• Lease and other contract considerations
• Trademarks and protecting your name and business

Each workshop attendee will leave with a good understanding of whether they should incorporate or form a business entity, or operate as a sole proprietor or partnership. All attendees will receive the course materials, tax forms and instructions, resources for taking the next steps, and the Kansas Department of Commerce “Steps to Success” manual complete with a section on nearly every business issue!
