Training Seminars — Legal Issues & Your Small Business

Provided in conjunction with and presented by the Washburn University Business and Transactional Law Center.

This workshop is your chance to learn the basic legal steps of setting up your small business and the common legal pitfalls to avoid. This interactive workshop includes discussions on:

• Corporations, LLCs and other business entities and structures
• Independent contractors vs. employees questions
• Lease and other contract considerations
• Trademarks and protecting your name and business

Each workshop attendee will leave with a good understanding of whether they should incorporate or form a business entity, or operate as a sole proprietor or partnership.
