Ruth
Garvey Fink Convocation Hall
Large
double doors flanking the staircase provide entry to the Center’s
showpiece, the Ruth Garvey Fink Convocation Hall. The two-storied
room is dominated on the east by a fireplace and on the west by
large windows fronted by three columns overlooking the Joss Garden.
Up to 200 guests can be seated fordinner. The space may be divided
into three separate rooms. Doors on the south conveniently lead
to a service kitchen equipped with dishwasher, warming oven, refrigerator
and ice maker. Rental of the Convocation Hall includes use of the
Joss Reception Gallery, and the Doris
Firestone Joss Garden.

Ward
D. Martin Board Room
Located
on the second floor, the Ward D. Martin Conference Room is designed
to meet several needs. The room is smartly appointed with tables
and comfortable high-back chairs to seat up to 25 . The room also
includes a large-screen television with VCR, marking board, telephone
and fax machine.
Ora
Wade Baker Conference Room
Located
on the second floor, the Ora Wade Baker Conference Room is the perfect
location for meetings. The room is equipped with 18 comfortable
high-back chairs and a large solid wood conference table, phone
and fax machine.
Washburn
College Bible Room
Located
on the ground level, the most formal room in the Center is the Washburn
College Bible Room. This prestigious room boasts a display of the
Washburn College Bible and many notable designs by Bradbury Thompson.
The room is a equipped with a conference table that seats 15.
The
Joss Reception Gallery
The
entrance through the main doors on the east opens into a spacious
hall, flooded with natural light streaming from skylights two stories
above. The gallery is a large open space adaptable for small gatherings.
A custom-made circular staircase to the upper level dominates the
elliptical-shaped space. Access to the Joss Reception Gallery is
included as part of the rental of the Ruth Garvey Fink Convocation
Hall.
Doris
Firestone Joss Garden
Entry to the 16,500 square foot garden is from the west exits of
the Ruth Garvey Fink Convocation Hall and by gates at the north
and south sides of the garden. A brick sidewalk, that crosses the
width of the garden, appropriately forms a “W”, and
boasts a 5-foot 11-inch bronze Ichabod statue at its apex.
Access to the Joss Recption
Gallery is included as part of the rental of the Ruth Garvey Fink
Convocation Hall.
