The Washburn University Information Literacy Program has four divisions. The first division, Credit Courses, explains the credit-bearing college courses we instruct. The second division, Library Instruction, provides both faculty and students with tools to understand and navigate the Mabee Library home page, the catalog, and a range of general and specific databases. This division will provide classroom instruction upon request. Outreach, the third division, takes the Libraries' mission beyond the confines of campus to teach high school
and community college students about the role of information in our society and how to acquire, evaluate, and use information. The final division, User Services, provides library users with opportunities to consult a reference librarian through multiple media or formats so that they may better perceive, produce, and apply information to their specific needs.
