Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation

he Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation (EMKF) works with partners to encourage leadership across America and improve the education of children and youth. The Foundation focuses its operations and grantmaking on two areas: entrepreneurship and education.

In education, EMKF works in partnership with others to improve the lives of children and their families, to create an environment where they enter school prepared to succeed and, once in school, are able to prepare for life as productive, contributing citizens.

National Clearinghouse of Leadership Programs

Established in 1992 at the University of Maryland College Park, the National Clearinghouse of Leadership Programs (NCLP) provides a central clearinghouse of leadership materials, resources, and assistance to leadership educators. Current membership consists of approximately 500 individuals.

Advancing Women in Leadership

Advancing Women in Leadership represents the first on-line professional, refereed journal for women in leadership. The journal publishes manuscripts that report, synthesize, review, or analyze scholarly inquiry that focuses on women's issues.

American Leadership Forum

The American Leadership Form is a nonprofit organization, national in scope, dedicated to joining and strengthening established leaders in order to serve the public good. It enhances leadership by building on the strengths of diversity and by promoting collaborative problem solving within and among communities.

College and Character: John Templeton Foundation

The goal of the John Templeton Foundation's College and Character Initiative is to encourage colleges and universities to do as much as they can to reinforce the positive values instilled by parents, such as honesty, compassion, self-discipline, and respect. The initiative seeks to foster widespread conversations within the higher education community about character development and to inform college-bound students, parents, policy makers, and the general public about how colleges and universities, individually and collectively, are responding to this challenge.

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to apply knowledge to solve the problems of people. Its founder W. K.
