The Kansas Board of Pharmacy is recruiting for an Education Development Specialist with the Kansas prescription drug monitoring program (K-TRACS). This is a federally grant-funded position. Background in public health, nursing or related field is desired. Responsibilities include:

  • Researching, developing and delivering one-on-one educational visits (academic detailing) to healthcare professionals on designated clinical topics, using evidence-based materials to complement the presentation.
  • Researching, designing and implementing online, self-paced learning modules for K-TRACS users to increase utilization and uptake of best practices by Kansas healthcare providers.
  • Developing and presenting workshops and training programs; maintaining and updating the K-TRACS website, social media and newsletters; and developing evaluation plans for all educational activities.
