Capitol Tour...Alone

FYI...Saturday mornings are a quiet time to visit the Kansas Capitol in Topeka. The building's interior opens at 8 a.m., with entrance at ground level on the north side. There is no charge to tour, but a security check is required.

In late August, 2016, I toured the Capitol on a Saturday morning and was surprised (and delighted) to discover I was the SOLE TOURIST inside the builiding. I had the place all to myself—and loved every minute of exploring!

NOTE: The House and Senate chambers were closed on Saturday, but I had free run of public area, levels B through 5. COME VISIT OUR CAPITOL!
