Librarian Sean Bird receives I Love My Librarian Award
We are excited to announce that librarian and associate dean Sean Bird is a winner of this year's American Library Association I Love My Librarian Award. Sean is one of only ten librarians in the country to receive this award for his outstanding commitment to student success, having been selected from 1,865 nominations from library users across the country. He began teaching English for Washburn as an adjunct faculty member in 1995, becoming an instructional librarian in 2010 at Washburn University’s Mabee Library and was promoted to associate dean of university libraries and the Center for Student Success and Retention in 2014.
