Visit Our New Classrooms

Stop by Mabee Library and see what is new on our third floor. Thanks to funds raised by the Friends of Mabee Library and the Washburn University Foundation, we have three new classrooms. The first room is an immersive classroom outfitted with interactive span walls. The second classroom also includes span walls in the front of the room. The Shermoen Math Lab, named for Professor Richard Shermoen, is outfitted with desktop computers.

Classes are already scheduled in these rooms for Spring 2019. Current and future subjects taught in the new classrooms include Math, WU101, Geography, Communication, and Gaming/Gamification.

Classrooms are open to students outside of regularly scheduled classes. There are plans for future technology expansion including a 3-D printer. A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony is scheduled for January 31, 2019.
