How to participate in the Homecoming tailgate
Join Washburn University students, faculty, staff in participating in the Homecoming Tailgate on Saturday, October 28th at 10a.m. Community businesses and organizations are invited to participate along with student and Greek organizations on campus. Entrants can register in the following categories:
- Fraternity/Sorority
- Student Organization
- WU Departmental
- Community.
Prizes will be provided. For Washburn categories there will be a $500 prize toward your organization. For Community members, the winner will receive access to the McPherson Room on November 25th along with $200 in catering for that event.

Tailgate vehicle entry
All motor vehicles will enter campus via Durow Drive and turn onto College Avenue to gain access to designated parking. The tailgate event will be held on the East Memorial Union Lawn.
