Fire Safety
In our recent past, approximately 600 fraternity and sorority alumni met with over 60 members of congress to discuss issues considered important to the future success of the college fraternity and sorority system. The specific concern was the issue of fire safety for the $3 billion in student housing on college campuses that house over 250,000 students a year in 8,000 facilities.
All fraternities and sororities and student organizations with facilities have participated in the Installation Plan Submission of the Life Safety Code Act adapted in 1991 with the National Life Safety Code Act in 1991. For further documentation see the Topeka Fire Code Chapter 70 Secs. 70-107-70-121 Adopted.
