Study Abroad Scholarship & IE-WTE Scholarship
Washburn students participating in approved study abroad programs have access to two distinct scholarship opportunities: the Study Abroad Scholarship and the IE-WTE (International Education – Washburn Transformational Experience) Scholarship. Award Amounts vary based on program length and cost.

Financial Aid
Federal Financial Aid (loans, grants and scholarships) may be available through Washburn University for approved study abroad courses. Please read the eligibility requirements listed below:
- You must meet the same eligibility requirements designed for students receiving financial aid for traditional Washburn University programs.
- The courses must transfer and apply toward your degree completion at Washburn University.
- Additional steps may be required to receive financial aid. Contact the Director of Financial Aid, for more information at (785) 670-1151 or by email at financialaid@washburn.edu.
