In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 the Washburn University Police Department is advising the campus community of:
 
Battery

On March 4th, at approximately 9:30 PM two students walking in the 1900 block of SW MacVicar Street (near Parking Lot #7) reported being hit by airsoft pellets or similar projectiles.  The pellets were believed to have come from a red passenger car with at least one male occupant.  The vehicle was travelling southbound on MacVicar at the time.  There were no serious injuries reported.   

Washburn University Police are investigating this incident as a battery.

****Thursday, September 21, 2023*****

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998 the Washburn University Police Department is advising the campus community of:

Aggravated Burglary Aggravated Battery

On September 21, 2023, at 2 p.m. Washburn University Police responded to a reported aggravated battery and aggravated burglary at Lincoln Hall, 1801 SW Washburn Ave. The victims reported being assaulted by three males who were believed to be the guests of another resident.

The suspects are three black males, one was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The second suspect was wearing a blue and red striped shirt and black pants. The third suspect was wearing a black t-shirt and unknown pants.

The suspects were last seen leaving Lincoln Hall in a silver SUV.
