- Kelli previously taught adjunct courses at the University of Kansas, School of Social Welfare. She holds a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in Kansas, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri.

- Career Accomplishments
- Kelli established her private mental health practice, Firebrand Wellness Initiative Therapy and Movement LLC, in November of 2021, located in Junction City, Kansas. Her practice incorporates traditional DBT and ACT treatment modalities, both under the mindfulness umbrella, and includes ancient yogic philosophy and movement practices, as well as contemporary somatic practices. She is also a 500+hour trained yoga teacher, and working towards her 800-hour yoga therapist national certification, as well as training to become a Registered Play Therapist through Heartland Play Therapy, and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner through Somatic Experiencing International. She maintains membership in the National Association of Social Workers and the Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness in Kansas City. Her clinical background includes CIT crisis response and forensic mental healthcare, community mental health, hospital and trauma level II social work practice. Kelli is also passionate about human rights and social justice and incorporates into her practice at every level.
