BSN application instructions

  1. Carefully read the directions for each section and respond accordingly. You are not able to save the form and return later. 
  2. Official transcripts from all colleges attended are required (even dual credit classes – these are not on a high school transcript. The transcript must come from the college in which you earned the credit).
  3. Put your name on your Written Interview.
  4. When you click Submit on the application, your application is sent directly to the School of Nursing. You will also receive a copy of it at the email address on your application.
  5. Follow up with your references to be sure they have submitted their Reference Statement. They will also receive a copy of what they submitted.
  6. Decision letters will be emails to the email address listed on your application in late February/early March.

BSN application deadline

If applying for a Fall 2027 start, all official transcripts with Fall 2026 grades posted must be received at Washburn University Registrar's office by January 15, 2027. Electronic transcripts should be sent through electronic transcript services, or emailed to etranscripts@washburn.edu.
