Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Success
Undergraduate Recruiting and Admissions
The Admissions department is responsible for recruiting prospective students, building personal relationships along the way and guiding them through the college selection process by demonstrating the many benefits of a Washburn education.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
The Financial Aid department is responsible for helping students receive funding for college through financial awards such as grants, loans and scholarships, as well as educating students on money management strategies to ensure their success in college and beyond.
Graduate and Adult Learners
Lifelong Learning is a major facet of Washburn’s educational approach. We accomplish this through a variety of graduate and adult learning programs, including tuition-free audit programs for those 60 and older and other community and continuing education programs.
New Student Orientation
New student orientation is for new first-year students who are coming directly from high school or took time in between high school and college with no college credit. New student orientation is required for all new first-time, full-time students. Transfer and returning students are highly encouraged to participate in a new student orientation, but not required.
University Registrar
The University Registrar’s Office is the dedicated steward of our students’ academic records, maintaining essential processes related to enrollment, the creation and maintenance of university records, and graduation services.
Strategic Marketing & Communications
The Strategic Marketing and Communications department is responsible for reaching out to prospective students to tell them the benefits of a Washburn education. The department produces a variety of communications, including letters, postcards, posters, brochures, emails, social media posts, videos, advertisements and other marketing collateral.
Student One Stop
The Student One Stop is exactly as the name implies: it is your one-stop location for all student services related to the Admissions, Financial Aid, Business and Registrar offices. The staff is available to assist you through all aspects of the educational process.
Student Success
The Center for Student Success and Retention works to help students thrive on campus and academically. Through its first-year student retention efforts, the CSSR is an integral part of ensuring that students remain on a path toward on-time graduation.
