WU Tech Associate Degree programs require course work at both WUTech and Washburn University. Once certification is earned at Washburn Tech, students can transition to Washburn University to earn the AA degree.


  1. Students must be concurrently enrolled in 12 credit hours at WUTech or have completed one of the above approved programs to be eligible for the tuition reduction.
  2. Check with SAS advisors to determine the academic catalog that defines your graduation requirements.  Students must start at WU within 6 years of the WUTech certificate date & complete WU associate degree requirements within 6 years of WU start date.
  3. Some WU courses may have prerequisites or require placement scores.
  4. 15 credit hours of the required courses must be taken at Washburn to complete residency requirement.
