Washburn students to perform original show at Scotland festival

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, is the largest theatrical fringe festival in the world. The summer 2025 trip and experience allows students to create a show and perform at least four performances for an international audience. Students will also see performances from artists who come from all over the world. The students will be in Scotland for 12 days. In addition to performing and seeing shows, the students have the opportunity for cultural tours and the valuable experiences of international travel.

Summer 2025 Fringe show: The Dropbox created by Washburn students

A group of Earth's survivors rushes onto the last vessel escaping from AI bots and create a new life. They board with only the promise that there will be a future for them in a utopian civilization. On the ship, they learn that subsistence packages, and messages arrive in a dropbox. When the vessel's medical officer is found murdered, the hunt for the killer leads them to question every choice they have made: who they are, what surrounds them, how they are connected, and who they will become in their new world?
