- Applications are accepted year round for the Post-graduate PMHNP Certificate program.
- Cohorts are filled as applications are received. If the cohort is full for the start date, you may be considered for the following start term.

Admission Criteria
- Graduate from an accredited MSN program.
- For tracks 1 & 2: Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric CNS.

To Apply for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practitioner Program, you will need
- A completed online graduate application to Washburn University and the School of Nursing (see below).
- Reference information (2) from current or past employers, faculty, or professional peers.
- License information
- Program track selected
- Resume

- Official transcript of your MSN sent to the School of Nursing.

- Create an account at https://applyweb.com/washburn.
- Select “Certificate Seeking” application.
- Complete personal information and citizenship portions of application.
- Select Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post-Graduate Certificate program application option.
- Select application term (ie. Fall 2022).
- Save and confirm program choice.
- Complete prior education, references (2 required), and supplemental (resume, license information, and program track) sections.
- Complete confirmation section and submit application.
