Application Fees

Each year, approximately 175 Washburn University students study abroad. Although our office is small, we manage key responsibilities to ensure students have safe and meaningful experiences. We promote programs, advise students, process applications, and coordinate with Financial Aid, the Business Office, and the Registrar to manage payments and transfer credits. We also support students in emergencies and regularly review our fees to stay aligned with peer institutions.

All Washburn University undergraduate study abroad programs include International Liability Insurance coverage under Washburn University’s AIG WorldRisk policy and Global Assistance Services through Travel Guard. Study abroad participants are automatically enrolled.  For more information about this plan, please go to  WU Study Abroad Insurance.
