Students who pursue the Leadership WTE serve in leadership roles and are transformed by improved self-understanding derived from practical experience and examination of inspirational examples of selfless leadership service; they graduate from the University as citizens who recognize the abundance of leadership opportunities and are ready to accept the mantle of responsibility that comes with these opportunities.

To earn a Leadership WTE, students must complete a 1-3 credit leadership course plus a change project under the supervision of a faculty mentor. Students will gain a greater understanding of the world around them and learn how they might utilize their unique skills and abilities to affect positive change. In addition, students will earn an extra credential on their final transcript with a WTE in Leadership and be awarded with a medallion to wear at graduation.

The advisor for the Leadership Transformational Experience is Lauren Edelman.
