Surgical Technology Associate Degree

Pursuing a career as a Surgical Technologist requires candidates to have an associate of applied science degree. The affiliation between Washburn University and Washburn Tech offers a convenient way to make that happen! Follow these steps to prepare yourself for this exciting field:

  1. Complete your general education requirements at Washburn University and Washburn Tech.
  2. Apply to Washburn Tech's Surgical Technology program.
  3. Once accepted, complete the 49-credit hour program of hands-on training on the Washburn Tech campus and in clinicals.
  4. Receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Surgical Technology from Washburn Tech.
  5. Pass the national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam.
