Group Exercise

A variety of group exercise classes are offered free of charge to all SRWC members. Class offerings are designed so you can work at your own intensity level. Schedules are available both below and in the SRWC.

Cycle & Body

  • 5:45 - 6:30 p.m.


Pilates, Barre & Stretch

  • 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.


Strong by Zumba

  • 5:45 - 6:30 p.m.


Cardio Beats

  • 7:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Cycle & Body: The class will focus on key elements of a cycling class (endurance, intervals and speed work) with the benefit of strength training. Get in a balanced workout with this class.

Pilates, Barre & Stretch: Enjoy this class that is a fusion of Pilates, ballet aerobics and stretching.
Strong by Zumba: Strong Zumba is a 30 minutes class that combines a variety of dance moves and exercises with music. Moderate intensity to help build endurance.
Cardio Beats: This class is a mix of cardio drumming, barre and interval training all synced to music. Enjoy the variety of this workout class while moving to the beat. Pre-registration recommended.

Procedures

  1. All participants must sign-in on the WU Rec app (IM Leagues) for class at the SRWC multipurpose room with the instructor. 
    • Students, faculty, and staff must show WU ID (unless checked out at the front desk) 
    • Spouse/DP members must show WU ID (unless checked out at the front desk)
  2. Participants can begin signing-in on the WU Rec app prior to each class or before the start of class.
  3. Individuals must sign-in for each class. Example: Participants wanting to participate in back-to-back classes must sign-in for both classes.
  4. Individuals cannot reserve spots for other class participants.

  1. Due to limited class sizes, it is recommended that participants arrive for class on time. Participants not present at the start of class may lose their spot.
  2. Participants need sign-in to participate (See sign-in procedures).
  3. Participants may enter an open class until 5 minutes after start time. After ten minutes, class entry is upon the instructor's discretion.
  4. Proper athletic attire must be worn at all times. No open-toed shoes or sandals allowed (unless in a mind body class). SRWC management reserves the right to determine what is considered proper athletic attire.
  5. Equipment is to be used for intended purposes only.
  6. Equipment should be cleaned and returned to its designated place after use.
  7. No food allowed in the Multipurpose Room. Drinks should be kept in screw top or sealed containers.
  8. Personal items such as book bags, personal bags and coats may be stored in the SRWC locker rooms.
  9. Instructors reserve the right to cancel classes with no participants after 5 minutes of the start of class. In approved situations instructors may cancel class with only 1 participant.
  10. Class times may vary during breaks and interims. Please check at the SRWC front desk, WU Rec app or website for modified scheduling information.
  11. Class times are subject to change.
