Fall/Spring Semester
Field Education intakes are the first step to securing your field education placement.
The MSW Generalist Field Education intake deadline is September 15th during the fall semester prior to your anticipated field education start. MSW Generalist Field Education placements occur in consecutive Spring & Summer Semesters.
Students wishing to begin the MSW Generalist Field Placement process must have completed or be currently enrolled in SW 640 Fundamentals of Social Work Practice.
If you believe it is time for you to begin the MSW Generalist field intake process and you have not been instructed via email to do so, you have not been admitted to the MSW program or you have questions, please contact the MSW Field Education Director at

Students wishing to begin the MSW Clinical Field Placement process must meet eligibility criteria. If you are uncertain about the criteria please contact your academic advisor.
